Eighty-Five Percent?
The real Jesus experience is the realized freedom from the guilt and condemnation of sin. It’s the removing of a veil that opens up a hole new and beautiful life with Christ. When we’re having a real Jesus experience, faith is no longer believing what is not seen, but knowing the undeniable truth of what you have lived through.
In the video series for the immensely popular book, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, pastor Peter Scazzero says, “It has rightly been said that perhaps 85% of Christians do not get through the wall.”.
85%...Let that sink in. As someone who has been through the wall, can you believe that possibly only 15% of Christians know Jesus the way you do now? You yourself know the radical change it made in your life – imagine if that statistic was flipped, and 85% of Christians were walking out the real Jesus experience! What could our churches look like? God only knows, but we desperately want to find out!
